Problem
You can control Wyze Car’s horn and light in the Wyze Car app, but it does not move.
Troubleshooting
- Confirm that the Wyze Car app is up to date.
- In the Wyze Car app, tap the profile icon in the upper left-hand corner, then tap App information. The current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze Car logo.
- Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
- If you find that the Wyze Car app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the app.
- If possible, check that both the car and the camera’s firmware are on the latest firmware versions.
- You can check this in the Wyze Car app by going to the camera’s settings > Device Info.
- Tap the firmware version next to Cam Firmware Version and Car Firmware Version.
- If there are updates available for Wyze Car or the camera, please move forward with updating them.
- Verify that Wyze Power Bank is fully charged and powered on.
- It takes 6 hours to charge from 0-100%.
- The status light will have 4 solid white lights once fully charged.
- Make sure there are no obstacles or debris in front of the car or hindering the wheels.
- Power cycle Wyze Car.
- Unplug the power bank from the car and camera, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
- Factory reset Wyze Cam v2.
- Remove any microSD card inserted into the camera.
- With the camera plugged into power, press and hold the setup button on the bottom of the camera for 10 seconds until the status light on the front of the camera turns solid yellow.
- Once the status light starts flashing yellow, set up the camera as new.
