Wyze Scale BodyScan Setup Troubleshooting

Problem

Your Wyze Scale BodyScan is unable to be set up. 

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.
  2. Ensure that Bluetooth® is enabled for the Wyze app in the phone/tablet settings.
    1. Unpair any unused Bluetooth® devices from the phone/tablet.
    2. Toggle Bluetooth® off/on.
  3. Verify that Location Permissions are enabled for the Wyze app in the phone/tablet settings.
    1. Make sure that it is set to Always or While Using the App.
    2. For iOS users, make sure that Precise Location is turned on.  
  4. Make sure the correct setup steps are being followed as listed in our Wyze Scale BodyScan Setup Guide.
  5. Force close the Wyze app, then re-open it.
  6. Turn off the mobile device, then turn it back on. 
  7. Power cycle Wyze Scale BodyScan
  8. Remove the batteries for 10 seconds, then reinstall them.
  9. Factory reset Wyze Scale BodyScan.
  10. On the back of the scale in the battery compartment, find the UNIT button. 
  11. Press and hold it for 5 seconds until the LED display shows "Clr". 
  12. Set up the scale as new.  
  13. If possible, try using another mobile device for setup.
