My Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell won’t charge.

Problem

You’ve tried charging your Wyze Removable Battery Pack that comes with Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell, but it won’t charge.

Note: Wyze Removable Battery Pack usually takes about 9 hours to fully charge the battery from 0 to 100%.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that you’re charging the battery correctly.
    • If you’re charging using a cable:
      1. Ensure that you’re charging the battery using the USB-C cable that was included with the doorbell and that it is inserted securely.
      2. Make sure you’re using a 5V2A power adapter.
    • If you’re charging using Wyze Battery Charging Dock:
      1. Ensure that you’re charging the battery using the USB-C cable that was included with the charging dock and that it is inserted securely.
      2. Make sure you’re using the 5V2A power adapter that was included with the charging dock.
      3. Ensure the battery pack is inserted correctly and securely into the charging dock.
  2. If possible, try charging using an alternate power cable and/or power adapter.
  3. If possible, try using an alternate battery.
  4. Ensure the status lights on the battery pack reflect that it is charging.
    • If the battery pack is charging, there should be one green status light.
    • If the battery pack is fully charged, both status lights should be solid green.
  5. If already set up successfully, ensure that Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell’s firmware is up to date.
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
    2. If there is an update available for the doorbell, please move forward with updating it.
  6. Power cycle Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell.
    1. If battery-powered: Remove the battery pack completely for 10 seconds, then place it back into the doorbell, ensuring it is seated firmly.
    2. If hardwired: Flip the breaker that is powering the doorbell to the off position, wait 10 full seconds, then flip the breaker back to the on position.
  7. Factory reset Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell.
    1. Remove any microSD card inserted into the doorbell.
    2. Press and hold the RESET button on the back of the doorbell for 5 seconds or until the voice prompt sounds.
      • To access the RESET button, you will need to use the doorbell detaching pin to remove the back plate from the doorbell.
    3. Once the status light is flashing red, set up the doorbell like new.
