My Wyze Scale Ultra’s data is not syncing while the app is closed.

Problem

Your body composition measurements aren’t syncing to the Wyze app while it is closed.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store, and update the Wyze app.
  2. If possible, check that your Wyze Scale Ultra’s firmware is up to date.
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
    2. If there is an update available for the scale, please move forward with updating it.
  3. Check your BluetoothⓇ settings.
    1. Ensure BluetoothⓇ is enabled for the Wyze app in your mobile device’s settings.
    2. Unpair any unused BluetoothⓇ devices from your mobile device.
    3. Toggle BluetoothⓇ off, then back on.
  4. Verify that Location Permissions for the Wyze app are enabled in your device’s settings.
    1. Ensure it is set it to Always or While Using the App.
    2. For iOS users, also confirm that Precise Location is turned on.
  5. Step on the scale to activate it, then step off and let it return to 0.0 lb.
  6. Verify the scale is syncing with the Wyze app.
    1. Open the Wyze app and select Wyze Scale Ultra.
    2. Step on the scale to activate it.
    3. Ensure Connected displays in the app and the BluetoothⓇ symbol appears in the upper-left corner of the scale’s screen.
  7. Check for unclaimed data.
    1. In the Wyze app, select Wyze Scale Ultra.
    2. If there is unclaimed data, there will be a “You have unclaimed data.” message at the top of the screen.
    3. If so, tap the message to assign the unclaimed data to the correct users and tap Claim once done.
  8. Make sure the correct user profile is selected in the Wyze app when measuring.
  9. Verify that your personal information (i.e. body type, year of birth, etc.) is correct in the Wyze app.
    1. In the Wyze app, go to Wyze Scale Ultra’s settings > Users.
    2. Ensure Only Measure with App Open is not enabled.
  10. Power cycle Wyze Scale Ultra:
    1. Remove the batteries for 10 seconds, then reinstall them.
  11. Factory reset Wyze Scale Ultra.
    1. On the back of the scale, in the battery compartment, find the UNIT button.
    2. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds until the scale display shows "Clear".
    3. Set up your Wyze Scale Ultra as new.
