I'm not receiving any notifications from the Wyze app.

One of the best things about your Wyze devices + the Wyze app s is being able to receive notifications straight to your phone - when motion is detected by a Wyze Cam, when your robot vacuum is finished cleaning, when your video doorbell rings. 

Problem

You aren't receiving any notifications from the Wyze app or your Wyze devices, even though you have Motion and Sound notifications enabled.The Wyze app isn't sending a notification (push or SMS) to your phone.

Troubleshooting

First, check your Notifications settings. Then, check your individual Event settings, which are what trigger notifications to be sent. Last, check if you have any Automations set to disable notifications.

To check your Notifications settings:

  1. On the Home tab of the Wyze app, check the bell icon.

    1. If the notifications bell is crossed out, then all notifications are muted from the Wyze app. Only special notifications, like Critical Alerts, will be pushed to your phone. 
      • Try this: Tap the notifications bell to allow universal notifications from the Wyze app. 
    2. If the notifications bell is not crossed out, continue to the next step.
  2. On the Account tab, tap Notifications. Tap into each option to check your settings.
    • In-app Notifications: Tap the toggles to receive promotional deals and Wyze news from the Wyze app.
    • Push Notifications: Tap Enable to manage push notifications from all of your Wyze devices in one place. If disabled, even if there's an Event, you will not receive push notifications.
      • Try this: Not getting notifications from a specific device? Scroll and tap its name in the list, then manage Event and Other Notifications on the next screen.
    • Text Notifications: Tap to toggle on and enter your mobile number to receive text notifications from Wyze.
    • App Discovery: Set the Frequency to receive Wyze app tips and tricks on the Home tab.

To check your Event Recording settings:

  1. On the Events tab of the Wyze app, check for a list of event recordings. 
    1. No Events? Tap the filter icon at the top of the screen, then Clear All.
    2. Still no Events? Check out Missing Event Recordings to troubleshoot.
      • Tip 💡 : You won't receive notifications of Events if you aren't receiving any!
  2. If there are Events, but you're not getting any notifications from them, continue to the next step.
      • Tip 💡 : You won't receive notifications if you have Automations set to turn them off.

To check your Automations settings:

  1. On the Home tab of the Wyze app, tap Automations.
  2. Review the list for any Shortcuts, Schedules, or Device & Service Triggers that impact Notifications.
    1. Example #1: if you have a schedule set to Turn off Notifications every day at 5 PM, do you have a schedule to Turn on Notifications later?
    2. Example #2: if you have a device trigger to turn off notifications on your nursery Wyze Cam v4 when the light has been off for 30 minutes, do you have a trigger to turn them back on?

Note: If you have a Device trigger set up to receive notifications, but that device isn't turned on or connected to Wi-Fi, it will not trigger events or send notifications.

Still not receiving notifications? Check your phone or tablet settings.

If you are still not receiving notifications, you may have a system-level setting that's blocking notifications from the Wyze app.

Check your iPhone Settings:

  1. Open the Settings app, and tap Notifications.
  2. Scroll and tap on the Wyze app.
  3. Make sure Allow Notifications is toggled on.
    • Manage how you get notifications using the Alerts section.
    • Make sure Banners, Sounds, and Badges are selected.
  4. Go back to Settings, and tap Focus.
  5. Make sure you don't have Do Not Disturb enabled.

Check your Android App Settings:

  1. Open your phone's Settings app.
  2. Tap Notifications, then Manage.
  3. Scroll and tap the Wyze app. 
    • Make sure you have notifications on, and no Do Not Disturb settings interfering with the Wyze app.
