Can't connect to the Live Stream

There are a few troubleshooting steps that can be taken if your Live Steam cannot connect. If the Live Stream of a camera times out, it will show an error code. Below are some troubleshooting steps you can take based on the error code provided.

Note: Sometimes the microSD card in the camera or third-party USB cables can cause issues. If you have access to the camera, try removing the microSD card and use the power adapter and USB cable that came with the Wyze Cam to see if this resolves the issue.

Error code -90

This error means that your Wyze Cam can't be reached by the streaming servers.
  • Remove the microSD card if you have one
  • Try using provided power cable and adapter if you are using third-party products
    • If using the factory power cable and adapter, try using another set even if they are third-party
  • If these fail, attempt a factory reset of the camera

Error code -12, -27, or -48

These errors mean that your Wyze Cam can't successfully stream though the servers can see that it's there. This can be caused by having too many devices connecting to the network. Try the following:

  • Disconnect your smartphone or tablet from your WiFi network and reconnect it
  • If that doesn't work, you can try connecting to a different network or switching to Mobile Data (4G/LTE)
  • If the issue persists, try disconnecting devices from your network such as other smart devices, tablets, or computers

Error code -50, 0

  • Disconnect your smartphone or tablet from your WiFi network and reconnect it
  • If that doesn't work, you can try connecting to a different network or switching to Mobile Data (4G/LTE)

Error code -20002, -20010, -20011, -20015, -20016, -20018, -20027

  • Disconnect your smartphone or tablet from your WiFi network and reconnect it
  • If that doesn't work, you can try connecting to a different network or switching to mobile data (4G/LTE)

Error code -19, -24, -33, -41, -42, -60

These errors can appear when the device fails to connect to the IoT servers.

  • This can sometimes be fixed by power cycling the camera.  Unplug the camera's USB cord, wait 5 seconds, and plug it back in.
  • If you still get the error, you can try to deactivate any firewall settings on your device or network.
  • Slow internet speeds can also cause these errors.
    • Wyze Cam needs a minimum upload speed of 1-2 Mbps for SD and 4-7 Mbps for HD. Try connecting to a different network or lower the traffic from other devices on your network if you are below the minimum.
