My Wyze Palm Lock won’t charge.

Problem

Your Wyze Palm Lock’s main battery will not charge. 

Troubleshooting

  1. Ensure the main battery is being charged correctly.
    • The main battery cannot be charged while inserted into Wyze Palm Lock.
    • If charging using a power cable and adapter (both sold separately).
      1. Verify that the power cable being used is a USB-C cable.
      2. Ensure that the power adapter being used is a 5V2A power adapter.
      3. Make sure both the cable and adapter are securely connected.
    • If charging using Wyze Battery Charging Dock (sold separately):
      1. Verify that the power cable being used is the USB-C cable that was included with the charging dock and that it is inserted securely.
      2. Ensure that the power adapter being used is the 5V2A power adapter that was included with the charging dock.
      3. Make sure that the battery pack is inserted correctly and securely into the charging dock.
  2. If possible, try charging using an alternate power cable and/or power adapter.
    • If the power cable or adapter is determined to be defective, ensure it is recycled or discarded appropriately.
  3. Ensure the main battery’s status light indicates that it is charging.
    • If the battery pack is charging, there should be one green status light.
    • If the battery pack is fully charged, both status lights should be solid green.
  4. If possible, try using an alternate main battery.
  5. If possible, try installing the main battery in another compatible Wyze device to check if the issue is with the battery or with the lock.
    • The main battery is Wyze Removable Battery Pack.

Note: It usually takes about 9 hours to fully charge the main battery from 0-100%. The backup battery can only be charged by the main battery, and only when both are installed in Wyze Palm Lock.
