My Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan is showing incorrect body measurements.

Problem

Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan is showing incorrect or inconsistent body measurements. 

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.  
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.  
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.  
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.  
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.  
  2. If possible, check that your Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan’s firmware is up to date.  
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.  
    2. If there is an update available for the scale, please move forward with updating it.
  3. Ensure that Bluetooth® is enabled for the Wyze app in the phone/tablet settings.    
    1. Unpair any unused Bluetooth® devices from the phone/tablet.  
    2. Toggle Bluetooth® off/on.
  4. Ensure that measuring is done correctly.  
    • The scale should be placed on a hard, flat surface.  
    • Feet must be barefoot.  
      • Excessively dry or damp feet may result in incorrect or no measurements.  
    • Knees should not be touching.  
    • Grip the handle with all fingers, with thumbs placed on the sensor area.
    • Keep arms at a 45° angle while holding the handle.
    • Remain on the scale until measuring is complete.  
  5. Clean the scale’s surface.  
    1. Wipe off the scale’s surface with a damp cloth, then try again.  
  6. Verify that the scale is syncing with the Wyze app.  
    1. In the Wyze app, select Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan, then step on the scale to activate it.  
    2. Ensure that “Connected” displays in the app and that the Bluetooth® symbol appears in the upper-left corner of the scale’s screen.  
  7. Ensure the correct user profile is selected in the Wyze app while measuring.  
  8. Verify that the profile’s personal information (i.e., body type, year of birth, etc.) is correct in the Wyze app.  
    1. In the Wyze app, go to Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan’s settings > Users.  
    2. Ensure that Pregnancy/Weight-Only Mode is disabled.  
  9. Power cycle Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan.  
    1. Remove the batteries for 10 seconds, then reinstall them.  
  10. Factory reset Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan.  
    1. On the back of the scale in the battery compartment, find the UNIT button.  
    2. Press and hold it for 3 seconds until the scale’s display shows "Clear".  
    3. Set up the scale as new.

Note: Body composition metrics (body fat %, water %, etc.) are only available for people between the ages of 10-100 years old. Children under 10 and seniors over 100 will not be able to access the body composition features. For users between the ages of 10-17, the body composition metrics are only for reference.
