Problem
When you try to update your Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan, it fails.
Troubleshooting
- Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.
- In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
- Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
- Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
- If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.
- Verify that the scale is connected to Wi-Fi.
- In the Wyze app, go to Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan’s settings.
- If Wi-Fi is not enabled for the scale, tap Connect Wi-Fi.
- If Wi-Fi is already enabled for the scale, tap Reset Wi-Fi.
- Follow the in-app steps to connect the scale to Wi-Fi
- Ensure Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan has good signal strength.
- You can check this in the Wyze app by going to the scale’s settings > Device Info > Signal Strength.
- If it has 2 bars or less, try moving the scale closer to the router.
- Force-close the app and wait 30 minutes before checking whether the update was successful.
- Move the scale and device with the Wyze app closer to the router during the update.
- Reboot the Wi-Fi router and then attempt the update again.
- Power cycle Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan.
- Remove the batteries for 10 seconds, then reinstall them.
- Factory reset Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan.
- On the back of the scale in the battery compartment, find the UNIT button.
- Press and hold it for 3 seconds until the scale’s display shows "Clear".
- Set up the scale as new.
