My Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan data is not auto-syncing with the Wyze app.

Problem

Body composition measurements are not automatically syncing to the Wyze app while it is closed, or are not syncing to the correct profile. 

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.  
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.  
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.  
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.  
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.  
  2. If possible, check that your Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan’s firmware is up to date.  
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.  
    2. If there is an update available for the scale, please move forward with updating it.
  3. Ensure that Bluetooth® is enabled for the Wyze app in the phone/tablet settings.    
    1. Unpair any unused Bluetooth® devices from the phone/tablet.  
    2. Toggle Bluetooth® off/on.
  4. Verify that Location Permissions are enabled for the Wyze app in the phone/tablet settings.    
    1. Make sure that it is set to Always or While Using the App.
    2. For iOS users, make sure that Precise Location is turned on.  
  5. Calibrate the scale.
    1. Step on Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan to activate it.
    2. Step off the scale, and let it return to 0.0 lb.
  6. Verify that the scale is syncing with the Wyze app.  
    1. In the Wyze app, select Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan, then step on the scale to activate it.  
    2. Ensure that “Connected” displays in the app and the Bluetooth® symbol appears in the upper-left corner of the scale’s screen.  
  7. Check that there is no unclaimed data in the app.  
    1. In the Wyze app, select Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan.  
    2. If there is unclaimed data, there will be a “You have unclaimed data.” message at the top of the screen.  
    3. If so, tap the message to assign the unclaimed data to the correct user, and tap Claim once done.  
  8. Ensure the correct user profile is selected in the Wyze app while measuring.
  9. Verify that the profile’s personal information (i.e., body type, year of birth, etc.) is correct in the Wyze app.
    1. In the Wyze app, go to Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan’s settings > Users.  
    2. Ensure that Only Measure with App Open is disabled.  
  10. Power cycle Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan.  
    1. Remove the batteries for 10 seconds, then reinstall them.  
  11. Factory reset Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan.  
    1. On the back of the scale in the battery compartment, find the UNIT button.  
    2. Press and hold it for 3 seconds until the scale’s display shows "Clear".  
    3. Set up the scale as new.
