Problem
Body composition measurements are not automatically syncing to the Wyze app while it is closed, or are not syncing to the correct profile.
Troubleshooting
- Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.
- In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
- Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
- Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
- If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.
- If possible, check that your Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan’s firmware is up to date.
- You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
- If there is an update available for the scale, please move forward with updating it.
- Ensure that Bluetooth® is enabled for the Wyze app in the phone/tablet settings.
- Unpair any unused Bluetooth® devices from the phone/tablet.
- Toggle Bluetooth® off/on.
- Verify that Location Permissions are enabled for the Wyze app in the phone/tablet settings.
- Make sure that it is set to Always or While Using the App.
- For iOS users, make sure that Precise Location is turned on.
- Calibrate the scale.
- Step on Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan to activate it.
- Step off the scale, and let it return to 0.0 lb.
- Verify that the scale is syncing with the Wyze app.
- In the Wyze app, select Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan, then step on the scale to activate it.
- Ensure that “Connected” displays in the app and the Bluetooth® symbol appears in the upper-left corner of the scale’s screen.
- Check that there is no unclaimed data in the app.
- In the Wyze app, select Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan.
- If there is unclaimed data, there will be a “You have unclaimed data.” message at the top of the screen.
- If so, tap the message to assign the unclaimed data to the correct user, and tap Claim once done.
- Ensure the correct user profile is selected in the Wyze app while measuring.
- Verify that the profile’s personal information (i.e., body type, year of birth, etc.) is correct in the Wyze app.
- In the Wyze app, go to Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan’s settings > Users.
- Ensure that Only Measure with App Open is disabled.
- Power cycle Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan.
- Remove the batteries for 10 seconds, then reinstall them.
- Factory reset Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan.
- On the back of the scale in the battery compartment, find the UNIT button.
- Press and hold it for 3 seconds until the scale’s display shows "Clear".
- Set up the scale as new.
