My Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan Plus’ firmware fails to update.

Problem

When you try to update the firmware for your Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan Plus, it fails.

Troubleshooting

1. Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.
   1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
   2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
   3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
   4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.
2. Verify that the scale is connected to Wi-Fi.
   1. In the Wyze app, go to Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan Plus’ settings. 
   2. If Wi-Fi is not enabled for the scale, tap Connect Wi-Fi. 
   3. If Wi-Fi is already enabled for the scale, tap Reset Wi-Fi. 
   4. Follow the in-app steps to connect the scale to Wi-Fi.
3. Ensure Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan Plus has good signal strength.  
   1. You can check this in the Wyze app by going to the scale’s settings > Device Info > Signal Strength.    
   2. If it has 2 bars or less, try moving the scale closer to the router.    
4. Force-close the app and wait 30 minutes before checking whether the update was successful.  
5. Move the scale and device with the Wyze app closer to the router during the update.    
6. Reboot the Wi-Fi router and then attempt the update again.  
7. Power cycle Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan Plus.   
   1. Remove the batteries for 10 seconds, then reinstall them.  
8. Factory reset Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan Plus.  
   1. Below the handle display, find the touch-sensitive UNIT button.  
   2. Press and hold it until the handle display shows "Clear". 
   3. Set up the scale as new.
