What are Essential Automations?
Essential Automations are some of our most-popular Automations, already set up in the Wyze app for you to use with just a few taps. Instead of manually creating an automation, select an Essential Automation and customize it before tapping Save.
Some Essential Automations are:

| Turn on lights when a person is detected | Device trigger | If a camera detects a person, the lights turn on. | Wyze camera, lighting and a plug, and Cam Plus / Protect subscription |
| I'm home | Shortcut | Tap this shortcut to turn off your cameras when home. | Any Wyze camera |
| Turn lights off when I'm away | Location trigger | When you leave an area, the lights turn off. | Wyze lighting or plugs, location enabled |
| Turn alerts off at night | Schedule | App notifications turn off from sunset to sunrise. | Any Wyze device |

Where do I find Essential Automations?
Find Essential Automations on the Automations tab in the Wyze app.
How do I use Essential Automations?
- On the Home screen of the Wyze app, tap Automations.

Scroll down, and tap an Essential Automations from the list.
- Or, tap See All for a full list of automations to choose from.
- Update the automation if needed, then tap Save.
How do I edit or delete an Essential Automation?
- On the Home screen of the Wyze app, tap Automations.

Tap on the automation you want to edit or delete.
- To edit, make your changes and tap Save.
- To delete, tap Delete Automation, and confirm.
