I'm unable to switch modes for my Wyze Home Monitoring system.

Problem

When I try to switch modes for my Wyze Home Monitoring system, it fails.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store, and update the Wyze app.
  2. If possible, check that your Wyze Sense Hub’s firmware is up to date.
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
    2. If there is an update available for the hub, please move forward with updating it.
  3. Confirm that your Wyze Sense Hub is online.
    1. If the hub is offline, try following the steps listed here.
  4. Try switching modes using an alternate method.
    1. If you're using the Wyze app, try switching modes using your Wyze Sense Keypad and vice versa.
  5. Power cycle Wyze Sense Hub.
    1. Press and hold the reset button on the back of the hub for 10-15 seconds.
    2. The light will start flashing from left to right until it settles into the solid 3-light pattern, then release the button.
    3. Let the connection re-establish, then refresh the app.

Notes:

  • Power cycling your Wyze Sense Hub should not change any settings.
  • Do not reset the service through the Wyze app.
