Problem
When I try to switch modes for my Wyze Home Monitoring system, it fails.
Troubleshooting
- Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.
- In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
- Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
- Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
- If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store, and update the Wyze app.
- If possible, check that your Wyze Sense Hub’s firmware is up to date.
- You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
- If there is an update available for the hub, please move forward with updating it.
- Confirm that your Wyze Sense Hub is online.
- If the hub is offline, try following the steps listed here.
- Try switching modes using an alternate method.
- If you're using the Wyze app, try switching modes using your Wyze Sense Keypad and vice versa.
- Power cycle Wyze Sense Hub.
- Press and hold the reset button on the back of the hub for 10-15 seconds.
- The light will start flashing from left to right until it settles into the solid 3-light pattern, then release the button.
- Let the connection re-establish, then refresh the app.
Notes:
- Power cycling your Wyze Sense Hub should not change any settings.
- Do not reset the service through the Wyze app.
