My Wyze Scale measurements are wrong.

Problem

Your Wyze Scale measurements are incorrect; your weight measurement is wrong.

Troubleshooting

  1. Check that the Wyze app is up to date. 
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.    

    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.   

    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.    

    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app. 

  2. If possible, confirm that Wyze Scale’s firmware is up to date. 
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.   

    2. If there is an update available for the scale, please move forward with updating it. 

  3. Ensure that Bluetooth® is enabled for the Wyze app in the phone/tablet settings.  
    1. Toggle Bluetooth® off/on.  
  4. Verify that Location Permissions are enabled for the Wyze app in the phone/tablet settings.
    1. Make sure that it is set to Always or While Using the App.
    2. For iOS users, make sure that Precise Location is turned on. 
  5. Check that the correct user profile in the Wyze app is selected while measuring.
    1. In the Wyze app, select Wyze Scale. 
    2. In the upper right, tap the profile icon, then select the correct profile. 
  6. Make sure that the proper stance is being used while measuring.
    • Feet should be fully in contact with the scale. 
    • Stand in the middle of the scale. 
    • Feet should be bare – no socks or shoes.
    • Knees should not be touching. 
    • Keep still until the measurement is complete.
  7. Ensure that nothing is blocking the scale’s measurement. 
    1. Clean the scale’s surface by wiping gently with a soft, damp cloth, then dry it fully.
    2. For users with very dry skin, wipe feet with a damp cloth before measuring. 
  8. Disable the Only Measure Weight feature. 
    1. Navigate to the scale’s settings. 
    2. Tap Users, then select the correct profile to access the Account Info screen. 
    3. Disable Only Measure Weight
  9. Check if you're using Athlete Mode.
    1. Navigate to the scale’s settings. 
    2. Tap Users, then select the correct profile to access the Account Info screen. 
    3. Disable Athlete Mode.
    4. Note: Athlete Mode should only be enabled for users with 3-5% body fat. 
  10. Power cycle Wyze Scale. 
    1. Remove the batteries for 10 seconds, then reinstall them. 
  11. Delete Wyze Scale from the app. 
    1. In the Wyze app, navigate to Wyze Scale's settings > Delete Device
    2. Set up the scale as new. 

Note: Please note that body composition data is only available for adults aged 18-80 years old. Children and seniors 81+ will not be able to access this feature.
