My Wyze Accessory Bulb is not working.

Problem

One or multiple Wyze Accessory Bulbs will not turn on/off or sync with Wyze Bulb Cam.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that the Wyze app is up to date.
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store, and update the Wyze app.
  2. If possible, check that Wyze Bulb Cam’s firmware is up to date.
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
    2. If there is an update available for the camera, please move forward with updating it.
  3. If possible, confirm that Wyze Accessory Bulb’s firmware is up to date.
    1. Go to Wyze Bulb Cam’s settings > Bulb Settings > Linked Accessory Bulbs.
    2. Under Paired Bulb, select the impacted bulb.
    3. In the Bulb Info page, check the version number next to Firmware Version.
    4. If the firmware is out of date, go back to the Linked Accessory Bulbs page and tap Update Firmware.
  4. Check the status of Wyze Accessory Bulb to ensure it is paired and online.
    1. Go to Wyze Bulb Cam’s settings > Bulb Settings > Linked Accessory Bulbs.
    2. Next to the bulb, it should say Online.
    3. Note: If you’re unsure which bulb is which, tap on the bulb, and next to Show This Light, tap Show. The bulb will blink 5 times.
  5. If the impacted Wyze Accessory Bulb is not shown on the list of paired bulbs:
    1. Ensure the bulb is not paired with a different Wyze Bulb Camera.
    2. Tap SEARCH to find and pair the bulb.
      • Note: There is a limit of 5 Wyze Accessory Bulbs for each Wyze Bulb Camera.
    3. If unable to pair the bulb, follow the steps listed in Issue: Setup Troubleshooting – Accessory Bulb.
  6. Power cycle Wyze Accessory Bulb.
    1. Manually turn off the socket via the light switch for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
  7. Factory reset Wyze Bulb Cam.
    1. Remove any microSD card inserted into the camera.
    2. With the camera powered on, press and hold the setup button on the bottom of the camera for 10 seconds until the status light on the front of the camera turns solid red.
    3. Once the status light starts flashing red, set up Wyze Bulb Cam like new.
    4. Note: If you factory reset Wyze Bulb Cam, any linked Wyze Accessory Bulbs will lose connection and automatically reset within 5-6 minutes, then will need to be set up like new.

Note: Any unpaired Wyze Accessory Bulbs will shine a mild light (~30 brightness) when powered on.
