I can’t enable direct lock/unlock on my Wyze Battery Video Doorbell.

Problem

The direct lock/unlock feature is not working when you try to lock/unlock Wyze Lock from the live stream of Wyze Battery Video Doorbell.  

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that the Wyze app is up to date. 
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.  
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page. 
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.
  2. If possible, check that the firmware for both your Wyze Lock and Wyze Battery Video Doorbell is up to date.  
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.  
    2. If there is an update available for either device, please move forward with updating them.
  3. Verify which type of Wyze Lock is being used. 
    1. Wyze Lock Bolt is not compatible with Wyze Battery Video Doorbell. 
  4. Ensure Wyze Lock is connected and is able to be locked and unlocked normally through the Wyze app.  
  5. Verify that Wyze Lock is not connected to other Wyze Video Doorbells. 
    1. If Wyze Lock is connected to another doorbell, disconnect it from the previous doorbell before attempting to connect it to Wyze Battery Video Doorbell. 
    2. Note: Wyze Locks can only be connected to one doorbell at a time. 
  6. Restart Wyze Battery Video Doorbell. 
    1. Navigate to the doorbell’s settings > Restart Device > tap Restart.
