My Wyze Wi-Fi Chime isn’t working with my Wyze Battery Video Doorbell.

Problem

Your Wyze Wi-Fi Chime is unable to pair with your Wyze Battery Video Doorbell, or it won’t ring.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm that the Wyze app is up to date.
    1. In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About
    2. Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
    3. Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
    4. If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.
  2. If possible, check that the firmware for both your Wyze Wi-Fi Chime and Wyze Battery Video Doorbell is up to date.
    1. You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
    2. If there is an update available for either device, please move forward with updating them.
  3. Verify that Wyze Wi-Fi Chime is paired with Wyze Battery Video Doorbell.
    1. Navigate to the doorbell’s settings > Chime
    2. Select Wyze Wi-Fi Chime, then follow the in-app instructions to set up the chime if not already done.
  4. Check the chime’s status.
    1. Navigate to Wyze Wi-Fi Chime’s settings.
    2. Next to Status, tap Test
      • The chime will ring if connected successfully.
  5. Adjust the chime’s automations.
    1. In the Wyze app, navigate to Wyze Wi-Fi Chime.
    2. Select each Trigger and delete it.
    3. Manually recreate the Trigger one at a time, testing between each one.
    4. Note: Ensure a Trigger is set up to trigger the chime to sound when Wyze Battey Video Doorbell is pressed.
  6. Verify that the chime is not set to Do Not Disturb mode.
    1. In the Wyze app, navigate to Wyze Wi-Fi Chime.
    2. Tap the bell icon to toggle Do Not Disturb mode on/off.
      • The icon will be green when sound is enabled.
  7. Increase the volume of the chime.
    1. In the Wyze app, navigate to Wyze Wi-Fi Chime.
    2. Under Volume, increase the slider bar.
  8. Restart the chime.
    1. Navigate to Wyze Wi-Fi Chime’s settings > Restart Device > Restart.
