Problem
Your Wyze Wi-Fi Chime is unable to pair with your Wyze Battery Video Doorbell, or it won’t ring.
Troubleshooting
- Confirm that the Wyze app is up to date.
- In your Wyze app, navigate to the Account tab > tap About.
- Your current app version will be listed beneath the Wyze logo.
- Compare your app version to the latest app version listed on our Release Notes & Firmware page.
- If you find that your Wyze app is out of date, head over to your mobile device’s app store and update the Wyze app.
- If possible, check that the firmware for both your Wyze Wi-Fi Chime and Wyze Battery Video Doorbell is up to date.
- You can check this by going to the Account tab > Firmware Update.
- If there is an update available for either device, please move forward with updating them.
- Verify that Wyze Wi-Fi Chime is paired with Wyze Battery Video Doorbell.
- Navigate to the doorbell’s settings > Chime.
- Select Wyze Wi-Fi Chime, then follow the in-app instructions to set up the chime if not already done.
- Check the chime’s status.
- Navigate to Wyze Wi-Fi Chime’s settings.
- Next to Status, tap Test.
- The chime will ring if connected successfully.
- Adjust the chime’s automations.
- In the Wyze app, navigate to Wyze Wi-Fi Chime.
- Select each Trigger and delete it.
- Manually recreate the Trigger one at a time, testing between each one.
- Note: Ensure a Trigger is set up to trigger the chime to sound when Wyze Battey Video Doorbell is pressed.
- Verify that the chime is not set to Do Not Disturb mode.
- In the Wyze app, navigate to Wyze Wi-Fi Chime.
- Tap the bell icon to toggle Do Not Disturb mode on/off.
- The icon will be green when sound is enabled.
- Increase the volume of the chime.
- In the Wyze app, navigate to Wyze Wi-Fi Chime.
- Under Volume, increase the slider bar.
- Restart the chime.
- Navigate to Wyze Wi-Fi Chime’s settings > Restart Device > Restart.
- If possible, try moving the chime, doorbell, and router closer together.
