Problem
The battery level on your Wyze Cam Outdoor is dropping, even though your Wyze Solar Panel is connected. The camera is not charging.
Note: Wyze Solar Panel will stop charging the attached Wyze Cam Outdoor once the battery level reaches 100%. Once the battery level drops below 90%, the solar panel will resume charging the camera.
Troubleshooting
- Double-check the cable connections.
- Make sure your Wyze Solar Panel is securely connected to your Wyze Cam Outdoor using the included power adapter and cables.
- Check that the camera is turned on and has power.
- Remove the rubber cover on the back of the camera and slide the power button from left (off) to right (on).
- Make sure the solar panel is receiving direct sunlight.
- Generally, the best angle is about 30º, but mount and angle it as needed to get the best results.
- You cannot charge the camera with the solar panel at night.
- Clean the surface of the solar panel by wiping it with a soft cloth dampened with water.
- Check the camera's status light.
- It will flash red to indicate that it is charging.
