I can’t enable Travel Mode. What do I do?

Problem

You are unable to enable Travel Mode on your Wyze Cam Outdoor.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm your Wyze app is up to date.
  2. Confirm that both your Wyze Cam Outdoor and Wyze Base Station firmware are up to date.
  3. Attempt to enable Travel Mode again.
    • Please ensure you are using your camera to enable Travel Mode and not the base station. 
  4. Once this is enabled “Travel mode enabled” will sound.
  5. For Wyze Cam Outdoor, if the status light is:
    1. Flashing yellow but is still unable to connect
      • Turn off cellular data on the mobile device.
      • Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled.
    2. Flashing yellow but the Travel Mode password is incorrect
      • Exit Travel Mode by pressing the Setup button once.
      • Change/reset the password in the camera’s settings.
    3. Not flashing yellow
      • Make sure the camera is fully charged.
  6. For the Wyze Base Station, if the status light is
      • Flashing yellow but is still unable to connect
        • Turn off cellular data on the mobile device.
        • Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled.
